When we bought our house it needed a face lift....BIG TIME!
The mudroom is the first room you walk into and it was hideous: awful floors and rubber baseboards - YUCK!
December 2009 Scott did a major Re-Do on the room: bead board walls, chair rail, new floors, and new baseboards - so much BETTER!
Before - YUCK!
After - YAY!Over the months we have hung new pictures and a new mirror but I still wanted some more things to make it look like a mudroom, so our trip to IKEA was mainly for items for this room!
A message board/key holder.(installed last night)
A new bench with shoe storage.

Lastly,this cabinet is ugly - i hate the color and the shelf - the shelf part has been removed and now i am going to take the doors off and paint the whole cabinet and sit 2 new baskets (from IKEA) in the base.
(hopefully i can get that done this week)
